Sri Markandeya Swamy Temple - Rajahmundry

Markandeya Swamy Temple is a place of devotional beauty. You can find idols of Lord Vinayaka, Shiva, Parvathi, Ventakeswara Swamy, Subrahmanyeswara Swamy, Hanuman & Surya Bhavan. You will be allowed to view the idols at a reasonable distance. However, like other temples entry into darba gudi is prohibitted. On normal days, the temple will not be over crowded and you can have the darshan's within minutes. Whereas, at the times of auspicious days and festival days, it will be crowded.

Lord Markandeya Swamy temple is located on the bank of Godavari in Rajahmundry, East Godavari District and the view from the temple to river godavari will be awesome. Especially in the times of sunrise and sunset.
